Trivia Champions of the World!!!

Last summer, Bri and I would frequent trivia at Tanner’s on Wednesday and Thursday nights. We just did it for fun, nothing too serious, just a little entertainment for the weeknights. This summer rolls around and of course we begin to frequent trivia again, only this time with all of our friends who have recently moved to the KC metro. I’m here to let you know that we have won trivia twice in a two-week period. It’s about the most exciting thing ever. I’d like to take a minute to thank the creaters of the 3G wireless network, Shazam, Google, and all television shows we’ve watched throughout the years. These wins wouldn’t have been born if it wasn’t for you!

If your friends jumped off a bridge, would you?

It was another great weekend with great friends filled with great memories! This weekend me and many of my closest friends packed up and headed to Noel, MO, for a float trip. The 9 of use left at 6:00 Saturday morning and started our “6 hour” float down the river. By 6-hour float, I actually mean closer to 8 ½ hours, but it was still really fun. Really relaxing, actually. We jumped off a bridge, shored up to eat some lunchables, watched some guy submerge his canoe completely, got yelled at by some crazy wife who thought we were talking about her husband, saw some private parts, gave an award for “best dressed” guy (shout out to Josh/Kyle the NASCAR fan), tried to get some strangers to have intercourse, slept on some hard ass ground (or on a picnic table with a wet blanket, if you’re Eppie), and got a little sunburnt. Next year we’re planning on doing the 5-mile/3 to 4 hour float since we shore up a lot that will take closer to 6 hours for us. It was a really fun time! I had to take a 3 ½ hour nap yesterday though, my oldness just can’t hang like it used to, it needs a full day to recover!

Murphy's Law

Okay, let me start off by saying that I had no idea it had been so long since my last post. Over a month? This is a little ridiculous. I guess that's what happens when you are really busy and don't have time to think of a topic at work. Anyway, my apologies. Now, on to the real thing. Everyone is familiar with Murphy's Law. Well, I am the living definition of Murphy's Law. Anything that can go wrong in my life usually will. I'd feel sorry for myself, except for the fact that it's actually pretty funny. Today is evidence of this, as my car (which was working just fine at 1:30 today) now won't start (found this out at approximately 4:57). Honestly, I think it's because at 4:16 today I said, "I'm just ready to be done for the day. Nothing else good can come out of me today." Stupid curse. :)

On a much more exciting note, my friends and I are going on a float trip this weekend. There may need to be multiple blog entries to document the fun that will be had by all.
